Merchant Tycoon is a first person game that takes place in a medieval-fantasy world and focuses on economy and simple politics between four races. The draw of Merchant Tycoon is to give the die-hard fans of the business simulation genre a casual and themed in-depth experience that focuses on giving them the core features that they’ve come to love in both RPG's and tycoon games. It will also fulfill their desire for visual progression, and a fresh take on Tycoon games since it's been overrun by mobile 'idlers'. Your father was a dungeon keeper to the Four Factions - Humans, Elves, Orcs, and the Haunted. After his death, you inherit the dungeon and feel that there are the beginnings of what could become a hostile relationship between the Four Factions once again. Instead of capitalizing on prisoners and torture you see a more rewarding opportunity - armoury and weaponry. Time for a change in dungeon as it becomes a mass manufacturer of weaponry! You will begin by selling simple weapons such as wooden swords and shields, and slowly scale up the business to sell moderate weapons (bucklers, iron swords, etc.) as well as siege weapons when you are ready to take on such a task. Fulfilling orders to specific factions will increase your loyalty with them… But fulfilling one order may mean that another goes unnoticed, or arrives late. If a faction loses a battle because they had no weaponry (or poor quality weaponry!), guess who has ‘some ‘splainin’ to do’? Maintaining balanced loyalty to all four factions is key to keeping yourself out of trouble and keeping the money flow. But earning high loyalty from one faction and losing it completely for another may be worth the risk...
